Jay Elliott

Although Jay Elliott’s hands are hopeless with knitting needles, he shines in flashing hand signals as a summer baseball umpire in western Massachusetts. During the school year he wears hand-knit sweaters (now with sleeves) to work as a member of the English Department at Clark University, in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Story: A Good Fit, KnitLit Too
Aunt Ruth, pg. 149, KnitLit (with Mark Elliott, pictured at right, wearing hand knits by Aunt Ruth).
