Hanah Exley

Hanah Exley was
born in the 1920’s, which birthed her passion for jazz and
singing. She learned to knit in the 30’s, and moved to Los
Angeles in the 40’s, where she experienced the affects
World War II. The 1950’s brought marriage, children,
divorce, remarriage, and more children. The 1970’s gave
way to her new career as an interior designer, her own art
gallery, and her quitting smoking. In the 80’s she
invented “Hanah Silk,” and in the 1990’s, she spent seven
years traveling in China, developing a business called
“Far Village.” The organization was developed with women
belonging to a minority group called the Miao. Continuing
to develop “Hanah Silk,” has made her realize in 2001,
that each decade was better than the last!
