Hanah Exley

Hanah Exley was born in the 1920’s, which birthed her passion for jazz and singing. She learned to knit in the 30’s, and moved to Los Angeles in the 40’s, where she experienced the affects World War II. The 1950’s brought marriage, children, divorce, remarriage, and more children. The 1970’s gave way to her new career as an interior designer, her own art gallery, and her quitting smoking. In the 80’s she invented “Hanah Silk,” and in the 1990’s, she spent seven years traveling in China, developing a business called “Far Village.” The organization was developed with women belonging to a minority group called the Miao. Continuing to develop “Hanah Silk,” has made her realize in 2001, that each decade was better than the last!
