Zaina Keller Flickinger

Zaina Keller Flickinger was born into a kind and loving family on March 26, 1935, in Middletown, Ohio. Her grandparents played an important part in her upbringing—one grandmother is the subject of her story for Knitlit. She graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, with a major in business education and taught for thirty years. She married David Jay Flickinger in 1961; she and her husband retired in 1990. She says knitting has always been important to her, because it has enabled her to meet so many talented and interesting people. She belongs to The Knitting Connection of Middletown, Ohio, and serves as vice-president and president of the local chapter. She is also a member of the Dayton, Ohio Knitting Guild and the Education Committee of The Knitting Guild of America.
