Oppenheim
Shulamith Oppenheim
is an author of books and short stories for children. In her
junior year at Radcliffe College, she met and married Felix
Oppenheim, a Belgian professor of political philosophy--with
Albert Einstein, a long-time friend of the family, as best
man. After her first grandchild, Noah, was born, she started
the tradition of writing books for each grandchild, featuring
them as the hero. Sophie, adopted from China, will soon have
hers. Her latest books are a collection of mermen tales,
entitled The Fish Prince and other stories, and Ali
and the Magic Stew.
