Shulamith Oppenheim

Shulamith Oppenheim is an author of books and short stories for children. In her junior year at Radcliffe College, she met and married Felix Oppenheim, a Belgian professor of political philosophy--with Albert Einstein, a long-time friend of the family, as best man. After her first grandchild, Noah, was born, she started the tradition of writing books for each grandchild, featuring them as the hero. Sophie, adopted from China, will soon have hers. Her latest books are a collection of mermen tales, entitled The Fish Prince and other stories, and Ali and the Magic Stew.

Story: Silent Knit, pg. 65, KnitLit
