Wren Ross
Wren
Ross is a professional actor, singer, and a truly devoted
knitter.
She has been invited to perform her
lively cabaret ‘Singing With Every Fiber!’ at the NYC Knit
Out, the Taos Wool Festival and many other wool gatherings.
Her
upcoming CD ‘Wren’s Greatest Knits’ is full of songs and
tributes to the special joys of fiber and knitting.
Her writing about knitting has been
published in the magazine ‘Interweave Knits’ as well as Knit
Lit I &II (Random House). Look for articles about Wren’s work
in Ultimate Knitting magazine.
She has designed for Classic Elite, Rio
Grande Wools, JCA and LaLana Wools.
Wren
works with many colors and creates personal garments that she
calls ‘Stories of Fiber.’ Her custom designs have delighted
clients across the country. She teaches the process of
making these garments in a workshop called ‘Telling Your
Story/Wearing Your Story.’ She will be bringing this workshop
to the oncology patients at the Dana Farber Cancer Center.
Wren has taught acting, voice over and
creativity workshops for the past 25 years. She has been a
regular guest instructor at Boston Conservatory and Wellesley
College. She was a psychotherapist in private practice for 15
years and has a deep appreciation for the healing value of the
creative process.
