Jackie Young

Jackie Young, teacher and designer, currently manages a retail yarn shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She learned to knit from a neighbor at the age of eight. In her high school years she would often make up her own designs, since she did not know knitting patterns even existed! On a family vacation to Maine, Jackie discovered some old copies of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s newsletters and immediately wrote to her to learn more about her Knitting Camps. Jackie credits her strong sense of design with the lessons she learned from these early experiences.
