We're reading as fast as we can, and knitting too.

On Hiatus

KnitLit reads is on hiatus, but I'll let you know when we resume.

Meanwhile, keep reading, keep knitting!

Third Thursdays

KnitLit READS is changing its schedule and will now meet on the THIRD Thursday of every month, beginning on Thursday, September 20, at 7 p.m.

We will continue to meet at the InterFaith Bookstore of Amherst (formerly L.A.O.S.) in the Carriage Shops at 233 No. Pleasant Street, Amherst.

Our space is now a lovely small gallery with a new exhibit each month, and I look forward to seeing you there.

Until then, I'm enjoying the last of summer and hope you are, too.

Summer

Just to let you know that we'll resume KnitLit READS in September. This summer, our room at the Interfaith Bookstore of Amherst (formerly L.A.O.S.) has been transformed into a beautiful gallery.

If you'd like a preview, it's on the Art Walk of Amherst, and will be open this Thursday, August 2, 5-8 p.m. Sculptor Ian Childers is the featured artist for August.

I hope you're having a lovely summer, and look forward to seeing you in the fall.

What to Wear to See the Pope

Our next KnitLit READS selection is from What to Wear to See the Pope, a new collection of stories by Christine Lehner.
Richard Russo (Empire Falls) says, "Perhaps the most haunting, idiosyncratic, gleefully subversive, and satisfying story collection I've read since Isak Dinesen's Seven Gothic Tales."

This is a new collection of stories about resilient women aged seventeen to seventy, each at a pivotal point in her life.

All this, refreshments and knitting, too! Hope to see you Thursday night, April 26.
